Introduction
At Fireplace World we take delivery to our customers very seriously. We understand that our customers not only demand quality products at the cheapest Internet prices, but that they also want their purchases to be delivered safely, cheaply and as efficiently as possible.
We therefore employ two delivery methods:
- For "boxed" fires under 20 kg in weight (such as individual electric or gas fires) - Quality NEXT DAY Courier Services such as Fed Ex, UPS, DHL or Interlink.
- For larger, heavier or delicate items (such as fire surrounds, glass mounted fires, fireplace suites or full fireplace packages) - Our own team of 'in house' PROFESSIONAL HOME DELIVERY specialists (Hearth and Home Distribution).
Next Day Courier Service
Items to which this service applies: Boxed gas or electric fires and accessories such as trims and frets, under 20kg in total weight but excluding any delicate items. For details of which items will be delivered by the next day service please see our individual items pages.
Most courier deliveries will be NEXT DAY to most of mainland UK if your order is received before 11.30 AM, Monday to Thursday. NEXT Day delivery to the more remote parts of the UK (such as postcode districts AB, PH, IV etc.) and Northern Ireland, however, can take up to 2 to 3 days.
General Exceptions: Standard NEXT DAY orders taken before 11.30 AM on Friday will normally be delivered the following Monday. NEXT DAY orders placed on late Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be delivered the following Tuesday. NEXT DAY orders placed just before or on Bank Holidays will also be similarly delayed. For example, for Good Friday/Easter Monday orders placed after Wednesday 11:30 hrs will not be delivered until the following Wednesday.

Professional Home Delivery Service
Items to which this service applies: Any item over 20kg in weight, e.g., full fireplace suites and packages; marble, limestone and granite fireplaces; surrounds etc. and all delicate items.
When you first place your order it will be allocated usually within 24 hours. Information about your order will then be passed to the carrier who will ring you to arrange a delivery date. On the actual day of delivery the driver will ring you before they set off to let you know whether they will arrive in the morning or afternoon. They will also provide you with a delivery slot of approximately three hours. They will then ring you approximately one hour before they actually arrive at your home, so if you have provided a mobile telephone number you do not have to wait in.
When the couriers arrive they will unpack and inspect each item and carry them to where you require your items to be located. We therefore recommend that you clear a suitable space before the delivery is made. However, we do not recommend that you attempt to assist the courier in carrying the product in order to protect your personal safety and to prevent damage to your property. Please note that it is in your own interest to also personally fully inspect each item as it is unpacked to avoid later disappointment if there are any marks or damage. The driver will finally ask you to sign that you have inspected your goods and are happy with what you have received. If you are unhappy do not sign and the driver will bring the items back to our warehouse for further inspection. We ask that you keep the original packaging for 7 days in case you need to replace or return the product. This is because we require any product being returned to be in its original packaging. Please note: Any damages must be reported within 7 days of the delivery date. If your product is unsuitable in any other way, this must also be reported within 7 days.

For Northern Ireland we charge £29.95
Areas to which we do not deliver: Currently, we can only offer our professional home delivery service to UK Mainland destinations and Northern Ireland. Areas such as the Isles of Scilly, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Inner and Outer Hebrides, Orkneys, Shetland and the Republic of Ireland are not serviced.
Delivery Schedule: For Mainland UK we aim to deliver your goods usually within 14 days. Normally, delivery will be sooner than this, but to compensate for busy periods we set this as our general target. Please note that once you have placed your order you will be contacted by our delivery team with a firm date for delivery, normally within the above targets. If you are unhappy with your allotted date, please contact our Customer Support team who will try their best to accommodate your specific requirements.
