The government announced a temporary reduction in VAT to 15%, with effect from 1 December 2008.

Following a large number of enquiries for our products from many Central European countries but in particular The Czech Republic it was decided that we should have a presence there. The 3680sqft building houses a 1200sqft showroom displaying a large range of fires and fireplaces and the remainder given over to a stock holding depot.
Through a partnership with Czech’s leading transport company, TopTrans, the new depot will be able to offer it’s customers next day delivery on all stocked products. We are also able to deliver to customers in Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland.

The Fireplace World showroom in Huddersfield has recently undergone an extension and re-furbishment program which is now complete. An additional section has being created to display the range of electric suites by Adam. Visitors to the showroom have commented how spacious and well presented it is as well as commenting favourably on the interesting and rather striking use of colour. There is a live gas display area of the contemporary range of 'Superior' Flueless gas fires and an extensive display of the wide range of marble and limestone fireplaces manufactured and sold by Fireplace World.

Recently launched at this year's Hearth & Home exhibition, Adam say's its new Aduro electric fireplace suite proved a real hit with visitors. Its striking style and innovative use and blend of materials, including glass and walnut veneer attracted a lot of attention. The Aduro (pictured) glowing pebble bed can be operated independently of the heat settings and the contemporary styling create a dramatic impact.

'A fireplace for better or worse in sickness and in health' The Incendia Oak electric fireplace has been selected by 'Weddings Today' magazine to be the backdrop focal point in the photo shoot for their leading article next month.

Whilst being interviewed by BBC News, Richard Kaye, CEO of The FiredUP Group, the parent company of Fireplace World commented on the use of the internet as an information medium. The interview centred around the protections afforded to users and consumers alike in particular the safety associated with the use of the internet. There is no doubt that use of the internet is growing at an exponential rate and it is important that users and consumers ensure they research fully any site or company they intend to engage with.
