    No, it is not allowed. The fire MUST be laid in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, i.e. the correct number of coals and position

  •  Why does the fire require servicing every 12 months?

    To ensure it is operating safely, even if it has hardly been used, the flue and ventilation requirements should still be checked to ensure nothing has changed

  •  Coals or ceramics are badly stained?

    This is normal it is caused by oxidisation during the combustion process. Ceramics can be rejuvenated by recoating with black magic coal paint. Use Google to locate stockists
